Student Loan Features Designed for Pharmacy School
Students enrolled in or entering qualified PharmD degree programs are eligible to apply for an EdMed student loan and receive benefits designed to accommodate their professional timeline.
Cover up to 100% Cost of Attendance
Freedom to borrow what you need when you need it, up to the school-certified cost of attendance, minus other financial aid.
Multi-Year Loan Approval
No need to set reminders to renew your student loans. Receive approval for the duration of your program from a single application.(1)
9-Month Grace Period
Enjoy a built-in 9-month grace period after graduation, residency, or fellowship before full repayment begins.
Residency Deferment
If you enter residency or fellowship, delay repayment until after you’re done, with the option to request and renew 12 months deferment for up to 96 months total.(2)
NOW OFFERING COSIGNER RELEASE
Get Rewarded for Consistent Repayment After Pharmacy School
Applying for student loans with a cosigner is a reality for many students entering pharmacy school. Whether you earn a bachelor’s first or join a direct-entry PharmD program, costs can add up over six or more years of tuition and related expenses, not to mention any residency or post-graduate fellowships you may pursue. When facing the total bill, you may not have the income history to apply for aid alone.
When you and your cosigner choose EdMed student loans to cover the cost of your pharmacy program, we’ll work with you to find the rate and terms to fit your training timeline. Then, after graduation and a year of successful repayment, we’ll give you the option to apply for cosigner release.
